Customer Support Engineer / Field Service Engineer – Semiconductor Industry (m/f/d)

Our client is an internationally operating technology company specializing in equipment and solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company develops innovative systems for highly precise manufacturing processes and is known for its strong technological expertise, high quality standards, and modern international working environment. To strengthen the service team, we are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer – Semiconductor Industry (m/f/d) for the Munich location.

Tasks

  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems used in semiconductor manufacturing at customer sites
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of technical issues on complex machines and production systems in the electromechanical environment
  • Performing fault diagnostics and fine adjustments on mechanical components and software-based systems
  • Technical customer support via phone, e-mail, and on-site service
  • Training and instruction of technicians and operators regarding operation, maintenance, and servicing of the systems
  • Coordination of service-related activities in cooperation with internal departments such as sales, production, and application engineering
  • Technical documentation of service activities and maintenance work
  • National travel as well as occasional international business trips as part of service operations

Requirements

  • Completed technical training or degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in technical service, field service, or customer support is an advantage
  • Strong technical understanding of electronics, mechanics, and complex equipment
  • Independent, structured, and service-oriented way of working
  • Strong communication skills and professional appearance in customer environments
  • Good English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% within Germany, mainly in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg
  • Valid driver’s license (Class B)
